My Role
As the sole product designer for this project, I was responsible for the end-to-end design process, including conducting user research, performing usability testing, and creating wireframes and prototypes. I led the design efforts independently, ensuring a seamless and user-centered experience throughout.
Core Nutrition is an innovative personalized nutrition platform that lets users customize their protein and supplement blends according to their unique lifestyle and nutrition goals.
The Challenge
Protein blends are no longer seen as one-size-fits-all solutions. While some companies offer personalized options through quizzes based on fitness and nutrition goals, many users, especially fitness enthusiasts, want more control. They want the ability to fully customize their protein blend, from selecting the protein type (including multiple options) to choosing the flavor and adding boosts, creating a blend that is truly unique to them.
The Solution
Successfully creating personalized protein powders requires understanding the diverse needs of consumers, including exercise support, weight management, and overall health like joint, gut, and skin care. Core Nutrition offers a seamless tool that allows users to craft their own protein blend in three easy steps: 1. Choose Protein Type, 2. Choose Flavor, and 3. Choose Boost. Users can select from a wide range of options at each step to create a blend tailored to their individual needs.

Achieving Project Goals
After designing this customized protein blend tool, I want to continue the full process of adding your blend to the cart and completing the checkout. I also began brainstorming ideas for the dashboard functionality so users can easily save their blend and keep a history of their past blends all in one place for simple reordering.
